In which scenarios can you effectively use Chimpa MDM?
Chimpa is a unique MDM of its kind, which allows you to manage iOS and Android devices on three different levels: the IT administrator will set the general rules of the Institute that will be applied based on school hours, teachers will monitor the devices of the Real-time students in the classroom, families will be able to set restrictions and times for using devices at home.
At school: administration panel
The administration panel allows you to have under control all the devices that enter and leave the school, whether they are smartphones or tablets, each associated with its owner. The school can define “profiles” of the Institute, class, group or even single, which include various levels of restriction, distributing App and educational material with the relative licenses. For example, it is possible to ensure that, within the school timetable, or under school WiFi, or even within the school area, the Apps that are not related to teaching are hidden by the students’ devices and are no longer accessible or downloadable from the Store.
In class: educational apps
The educational apps are exclusive to Chimpa: the teacher can monitor the devices in real time, for example by fixing an app in the foreground, applying whitelists of accessible sites or completely blocking the devices of the class, groups or individual students, or still creating a personalized repository of Apps, eBooks and content. Chimpa offers a double benefit: it blocks upstream inappropriate or illicit use of devices in the school environment, and at the same time creates the context suitable for a conscious, profitable and safe use of these tools.
At home: Chimpa Home
When it’s time for handover from school to family, Chimpa continues to be a safety net against improper use of personal devices. The control and management tools offered by the Chimpa Home app allow you to make the most appropriate choices for your children, for example by preventing access to messaging apps or games in the hours dedicated to studying or resting, monitoring the use of individual applications and the time spent on the smartphone.
